Our Model:

We work with and for local innovation ecosystems, enhancing specific areas of excellence and integrating them into a wider network. This network, by fostering relationships, synergies, and collaborations with local Institutions and entities, promotes innovation hubs that are rooted in the territory and projected globally. In this way, in addition to offering fertile ground for the growth of startups, we use innovation as a vehicle to enrich the local area from an entrepreneurial, cultural, and employment perspective.

Our projects go beyond the traditional concept of agrivoltaics. They are integrated industrial and territorial development initiatives in which clean energy becomes the engine for new agricultural and productive opportunities.

The model is based on three main pillars:

  • Advanced Agrivoltaic System
    Latest-generation aerial solar-tracking photovoltaic structures that produce renewable energy without taking land away from agriculture.
  • Specialized Agricultural Activity
    Cultivation of aromatic plants (e.g., lavender) beneath the panels, a sustainable and high-value crop.
  • Industrial Facility
    A structure dedicated to the processing of aromatic plants and agricultural production residues for the extraction of essential oils and derivatives, thereby creating a complete value chain rooted in the territory.

With this approach, we generate new local economies, skilled jobs, and rural hubs of innovation and sustainability.

Our role:

Agrifuture is the director of the projects, with the task of conceiving, planning, and coordinating every phase, acting as the nexus point among all the Partners and Institutions involved:

  • agricultural companies, with whom we develop partnerships and agreements for land use and agricultural management;
  • engineering firms, certification bodies, construction companies, which handle the design and construction of the facilities according to certified quality standards;
  • scientific partners, for research and applications in the biotech field;
  • public and private credit institutions, for securing the necessary financial resources.

Our strength is our privileged position to attract and manage our own funds or those from public and private investors within the network, utilizing the necessary expertise and tools in Invitalia Development Contracts and local public financing.

Our work

Our work stems from the conviction that economic development and environmental protection can and must coexist, producing real benefits for:

  • businesses, which find new opportunities for growth;
  • local communities, whose territories are enhanced;
  • the environment, which benefits from low-impact production practices.

We believe that sustainability is a competitive leverage point and not merely an ethical duty.
For this reason, we:

  • transform innovative ideas into financed and executed projects;
  • strengthen territories by building integrated agricultural and industrial supply chains;
  • generate skilled employment, with attention to youth and equal opportunities;
  • develop replicable models of circular economy, capable of growing in other contexts as well.

We do not limit ourself to building facilities: we build the future, driving the transition toward a more circular, resilient, and inclusive economy.

The projects of AGRIFUTURE are able to maximize the productive synergies between the two subsystems (photovoltaic and agricultural) and guarantee added functions beyond mere energy or agricultural production (improvement of the sites’ ecosystemic qualities, circular economy between the two components, water recovery, and increase in overall profitability).
